Ekklesia II

Ekklesia II was opened in 1997 to provide housing for the elderly or mobility impaired. This 17,000 square foot building provides an additional 20 apartments on the existing Ekklesia Complex, which is comprised of 19 buildings located on 10 acres.

This HUD subsidized development is owned by Ekklesia, Inc., a nonprofit corporation formed by four area churches, including First Baptist, First United Methodist, First Presbyterian and St. Andrews Episcopal.

EDA designed the new 17,000 square foot building which, in addition to 20 individual apartments, provides other amenities such as a common meeting area, crafts room, office, elevator, laundry facilities and mail area.
