Colonial Lodge

The Warrenton Hotel and the Motel Warren were built in 1918 with an annex addition built in 1930. Renovation of this abandoned three story structure into 32 one bedroom apartments for the elderly helped to alleviate the shortage of housing for the elderly in the Warrenton area and contributed to the economy of the downtown.

The existing wood structure consisted of interior bearing walls and were maintained in the new apartment layout. Apartments vary from 490 to 745 square feet and comply with FMHA guidelines.

Existing windows and doors were maintained to comply with the State Historic Preservation Office and are integral to the design, including the location of living rooms and bedrooms.
