The
Bradford Creek Convention Center was designed as part of an
100 acre private development to provide Eastern North Carolina
with a unique Convention Center Complex, including a 20,000
seat Amphitheater, a hotel and retail space for shopping and
dining. The northern entrance to the complex is designed with
a tree lined, four lane boulevard with the convention center
being the focal point for arriving visitors. Once inside, three
lobbies provide pre-function space for exhibit halls and meeting
rooms, as well as access to the Amphitheater. The openness of
the lobbies and the pre-function spaces provide views to the
fountain and attractive landscape terracing. The abundant use
of glass, a balcony, covered entrances, landscaping, and fountains
are designed to add excitement to the lobby environment. Support
facilities include ample restroom and storage space. The food
service area is positioned so that it can provide catering to
either Amphitheater or Convention Center functions.
